Pet Boutique Associate
Job description:
Tailswag is a pet boutique and treat bar located at 50 Main Street in Littleton, NH. We are looking for someone to join our team who is a friendly and reliable self-starter that is able to work independently, loves petting dogs, and has a great sense of humor. Schedule
20-25 hours a week. More hours available in Summer and Fall. Flexible schedule.
Job Duties
- Opening, closing, and performing daily operations at our busy retail store in Littleton, NH
- Assisting customers with fitting their pets for harnesses, collars, accessories, etc.
- Preparing and packaging online orders and in-store pickups
- Light cleaning duties
- Processing and restocking inventory as needed, which also includes tagging and displaying items as well as tracking inventory and reporting low stock
- Answer customers' questions about different products and brands and make suggestions based on product knowledge and pets' needs
- Answer phone calls and field customers' questions/take messages as necessary
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18-years-old
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be very comfortable around dogs, cats, and people
- Must be able to lift up to ~50 pounds
- Previous professional experience working with dogs and cats strongly preferred
- Previous retail experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn a must
- Knowledge of the local area a plus
